The Milwaukee Brewers placed right-hander Coleman Crow on the 15-day injured list on Friday due to a right forearm flexor strain. The move is retroactive to June 10, and Craig Yoho was recalled from Triple-A Nashville to fill the roster spot.
Crow’s injury adds to an already thin Brewers rotation. The 26-year-old had made three appearances this season, including two starts, with a 5.30 ERA in 18 2/3 innings. His struggles were highlighted by a 6-earned run outing against the Giants on June 4. Despite the rough start, Crow had a 25.4% strikeout rate in 299 1/3 innings in the minors with the Angels and Brewers organizations.
Flexor strains can vary in severity, and while a minor one might keep Crow sidelined for a few weeks, the right-hander has a history of arm troubles. He missed most of the 2023 and 2024 seasons with Tommy John surgery and was limited to just 50 minor league innings in 2025 due to hip issues and another flexor strain.
Milwaukee’s rotation depth has been tested all season. Brandon Woodruff is on a minor league rehab assignment due to shoulder inflammation and is expected to return in June. Logan Henderson is still weeks away from a return after dealing with a back strain. Quinn Priester’s rehab has been delayed again as he continues to recover from thoracic outlet syndrome.
Jacob Misiorowski and Kyle Harrison have been bright spots in the rotation, with both showing strong command and results. Brandon Sproat has pitched 60 innings but with a 5.70 ERA, while Robert Gasser has posted a 6.38 ERA over 18 1/3 innings as a starter. Shane Drohan, the rookie southpaw, has been a pleasant surprise, posting a 3.11 ERA, 24% strikeout rate, and 7.1% walk rate in 37 2/3 innings.
The Brewers enter Friday with a 42-25 record, but their pitching staff remains in flux. Woodruff’s return should help stabilize the rotation, but Crow’s injury raises concerns about long-term depth. If the situation doesn’t improve by the trade deadline, Milwaukee may consider adding a veteran starter to bolster the staff.
The Brewers will look to Drohan and the rest of the rotation to keep the team afloat in the meantime. Crow will begin his rehab assignment in the coming days.

The Milwaukee Brewers shut out the Philadelphia Phillies 6-0 behind a historic performance from Jacob Misiorowski while Yordan Alvarez went deep twice in the Houston Astros' 10-8 win over the Kansas City Royals. Meanwhile, the Detroit Tigers activated Tarik Skubal from the injured list for a crucial
