Emmitt Smith would be the highlight of any Sunday, even if his mock drafts read like a game of Mad Libs. In this latest round of his 2026 NFL Mock Draft, Smith projects picks 17-32 with his signature flair for the absurd, blending humor with NFL lore and questionable logic. Here's what he sees for the second half of the first round.
The Detroit Lions are expected to take Caleb Lamp, an offensive tackle from Utah, with the 17th pick. Lamp, listed at 6'6" and 320 pounds, brings size and potential to a Lions offensive line in need of upgrades. Lamp’s college stats show he started 34 games for the Utes, allowing just one sack in his senior season.
Next up at No. 18, the Minnesota Vikings are projected to draft LSU quarterback Garrett Cheeseburger. Cheeseburger, a 6'5", 235-pound passer, threw for 3,400 yards and 22 touchdowns in his final season with the Tigers. The Vikings are said to be moving on from JoJo McCartney, a quarterback whose college tenure was marked by inconsistency and a pre-Madonna fandom.
The Carolina Panthers are expected to select Canyon Sundiq, a tight end from Oregon, at No. 19. Sundiq, a 6'4", 255-pound target, caught 52 passes for 680 yards and six touchdowns in 2025. His name, according to Smith, is reminiscent of the Grand Canyon, which, as Smith explains, was formed by a meteor that killed the dinosaurs.
At No. 20, the Dallas Cowboys are projected to take Monseiur Delame, a cornerback from LSU. Delame, a 5'11", 195-pounder, recorded 17 pass deflections and two interceptions in his final college season. Smith suggests Delame will bring a touch of French flair to the Cowboys’ locker room, possibly by making French fries.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to take Kendric Faulk, a running back from Auburn, at No. 21. Faulk, a 5'10", 210-pound back, rushed for 1,200 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2025. Smith jokingly ties Faulk’s heritage to his father, Martian Falk, and even compares his potential to a chicken.
The Los Angeles Chargers are projected to take Carlton Banks, a defensive tackle from Florida, at No. 22. Banks, a 6'3", 315-pounder, recorded 45 tackles and 6.5 sacks in his final college season. Smith links Banks to *The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air*, claiming he might have a secret connection to the show’s unresolved plotline.
The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to take A.J. Hallacy, a wide receiver from LSU, at No. 23. Hallacy, a 6'0", 205-pounder, caught 48 passes for 610 yards and five touchdowns in 2025. Smith humorously suggests Hallacy is A.J. Brown’s twin or cousin, simply because they share the initials “A.J.”
The Cleveland Browns are projected to take Molroe Freezing, an offensive tackle from Georgia, at No. 24. Freezing, a 6'6", 310-pounder, started 32 games for the Bulldogs and allowed just two sacks in 2025.
The Chicago Bears are expected to take Cold Payton, a quarterback from North Dakota State, at No. 25. Payton, a 6'4", 220-pound passer, threw for 3,200 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2025. Smith jokes that Payton might be the long-lost son of Peyton Manning.
The Buffalo Bills are projected to take Denzel Boston, a wide receiver from Washington, at No. 26. Boston, a 6'1", 200-pounder, hauled in 50 receptions for 700 yards and seven touchdowns in 2025.
The San Francisco 49ers are expected to take Vegas Money, a guard from Penn State, at No. 27. Money, a 6'3", 305-pounder, started 36 games for the Nittany Lions and allowed just one sack in 2025.
The Houston Texans are projected to take Captain Sabbin, a safety from Alabama, at No. 28. Sabbin, a 6'1", 210-pounder, recorded 65 tackles and three interceptions in 2025.
The Kansas City Chiefs are expected to take K.C. Conception, a wide receiver from Texas A&M, at No. 29. Conception, a 6'3", 215-pounder, caught 45 passes for 680 yards and six touchdowns in 2025.
The Miami Dolphins are projected to take Avian Terrible, a cornerback from Clemson, at No. 30. Terrible, a 5'11", 190-pounder, recorded 16 pass deflections and two interceptions in 2025.
The New England Patriots are expected to take Mike Washington, a running back from Arkansas, at No. 31. Washington, a 5'10", 210-pounder, rushed for 1,100 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2025.
Finally, the New York Giants are projected to take Bobby Trampoline, a center from Stanford, at No. 32. Trampoline, a 6'4", 300-pounder, started 32 games for the Cardinal and allowed just one sack in 2025.
Smith’s next mock draft update is still unknown, but for now, fans can take this with a grain of salt, or a side of French fries.
